More info: This may occur when organizers create and publish town halls with registration disabled. Additionally, users may find the Join option unavailable or unresponsive. While we work to remediate the impact, affected users can utilize their Microsoft Teams or Outlook calendars to join town hall meetings. Current status: As we verify the timeline for the offending service change and when users started to become redirected to the registration page when joining Microsoft Teams town hall meetings, we're deploying our solution. Our fix deployment timeline projects our deployment will have completed and that the impact will be remediated by our next scheduled communication update. Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users attempting to join town hall meetings in Microsoft Teams when registration is disabled. Root cause: A recent service change introduced a code regression that incorrectly requires attendee registration information when registration is disabled.
